A Day of Food in San Diego

Only 2 hours away from LA, San Diego is a great choice for a day trip. I took a greyhound to San Diego on a Sunday just to eat.

Carnita's Snack Shack

Carnita's Snack Shack

My first stop was at Carnita's Snack Shack located in the North Park area. I got there at around noon and despite the warning for the long lines, I managed to only wait about 10 minutes. Even though I originally wanted a pork/beef meal, I ended up ordering a fried chicken sandwich which was a featured item. Everything about this sandwich was unbelievable, including their house made sauce. I highly recommend eating here and trying other dishes.

Salude!

Salude!

A trip to San Diego isn't real without Mexican Food. Thanks to the Thrillist, I found this hidden little gem Salude! in the downtown area. This place was a little difficult to find but i didn't mind walking around looking for it. The wait time was insane, I must have waited for about 30 minutes.

Hammond's Gourmet Ice Cream

Hammond's Gourmet Ice Cream

Ice cream is always a good idea, I got this one at Hammond's Gourmet Ice Cream. This cute little shop located in north park had so many flavors to pick from, it took me almost 15 minutes to decide. I ended up getting the Green Tea and Mango Lychee Sorbet, and It was delicious
